Set to open April 4, TRON Lightcycle / Run is the newest attraction at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. And today Disney is giving a peak at the merchandise to go with the ride. TRON merchandise will feature three collections. Each collection draws inspiration from a different aspect of TRON: the attraction, the film, or the nostalgia. Check out each collection below.
TRON Lightcycle / Run Merchandise Collections
Back to the Arcade
The Back to the Arcade collection captures a slice of the early 1980s arcade scene with nods to Flynn’s Arcade from the original film. Products include backpacks and illuminated wall signs, featuring designs pulling inspiration from the 1980s game cabinet. Tumblers in this collection feature vintage Lightcycles.
Thrill of the Race
The Thrill of the Race collection is inspired by Lightcycles on the Grid. The collection contains racing-inspired apparel—including a light-up replica of Sam Flynn’s TRON: Legacy helmet. Also available is a toy featuring lights and sounds from TRON, called TRON Lightcycle Handlebars, which can also be turned into an interactive game.
Life on the Grid
The culture of TRON’s digital world inspires Life on the Grid. Part of this collection’s offerings are light-up jackets, Identity Discs, and an all-new retail experience called TRON Identity Program. Disney notes this as “a customizable ‘Program’ action figure and identity chip that can be used to ‘re-program’ other merchandise such as the interactive Identity Discs and Remote Control Lightcycles.” This interactive experience takes reservations beginning March 21. Where to Buy TRON Merchandise at Magic Kingdom
TRON merchandise will be available in a pop-up shop across from the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor entrance in Tomorrowland.
