Collectible movie popcorn buckets have skyrocketed in popularity recently. The profitable trend has reached a point where it seems like every blockbuster has its own unique movie popcorn bucket—sometimes more! In this list, we’re keeping tabs on Cinemark popcorn buckets released in 2024.
This year upped the ante with an unprecedented number of limited-edition buckets—so many that we created an overview of AMC, Cinemark, and Regal’s movie popcorn buckets released in 2024. From the iconic Mean Girls burn book-themed bucket to The Garfield Movie popcorn tin, there are more ways to enjoy popcorn now than ever before.
These playful popcorn buckets aren’t just relegated to movie theaters either. Disney Parks have their own take on collectible snack containers. Various Disney popcorn buckets come in themes ranging from Disney rides to Pixar movies and Star Wars characters. Unfortunately, all these fun new ways to enjoy popcorn do create one major dilemma: how do we choose just one to eat out of?
Cinemark Popcorn Buckets
Like most theater chains, Cinemark started offering collectible movie popcorn buckets around 2019 with the release of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker. Since then, the chain has been crushing it every year with new and innovative ways for customers to enjoy movie theater snacks. When it comes to promotional merchandise, it doesn’t get as creative as the Cinemark popcorn buckets.
Last year, the theater chain offered some of its most exciting designs, like the Optimus Prime bucket released to promote Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The popcorn bucket, shaped like the head of Optimus himself, featured blue LED eyes that really lit up.
Meanwhile, Cinemark’s Scream VI-themed memorabilia went beyond popcorn buckets to include unique reusable cups shaped like the iconic Ghostface as well. As if that’s not cool enough, they even offered a Ghostface plushie—although we’re not sure just how safe it is to cuddle a notorious horror movie villain.
There’s no arguing that Cinemark’s 2023 crop of movie collectibles was impressive, but believe it or not, their popcorn buckets for 2024 are even better!
Mean Girls Popcorn Bucket
Cinemark’s Mean Girls popcorn bucket is totally fetch—it even says so right on the bucket! This collectible bucket based on the new musical update of the classic Mean Girls story is covered in memorable phrases from the movie like “That’s fetch,” “Burn Book,” and even The Plastics’ logo. The sassy collectible also features iconic lines of dialogue, such as “I’m a mouse, duh,” and “Is butter a carb?”
When it comes to the shape, the Mean Girls popcorn bucket is just that—a bucket—but why mess with the classics? The traditional bucket shape might not be as fun as some of the other entries on this list, but it is one of the most functional, and it makes sharing your popcorn with friends a breeze. Kung Fu Panda 4 Takeout Popcorn Tin
The word popcorn isn’t generally associated with takeout, but Cinemark is here to change that. The Kung Fu Panda 4 popcorn tin is shaped like a giant Chinese takeout container, complete with designs that perfectly mimic the pictures found on a real box of Chinese food. These Cinemark popcorn tins are the perfect size for anyone with a Po-sized appetite for snacks!
The Kung Fu 4 Panda collectible tins are so realistic-looking that you’ll almost expect them to come with a set of chopsticks, though you’re better off using your hands here.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Takeout Po Popcorn Bucket
Cinemark’s second Kung Fu Panda 4-themed popcorn bucket ups the cuteness factor by featuring the Kung Fu Panda himself looking as cuddly as ever. The Po Popcorn Bowl features an adorable sculpt of Po the Panda holding a black bowl. The bowl itself doesn’t hold as much as some of the other collectible movie popcorn buckets—about the same amount as a small by most accounts—but the fuzzy cutie-pie holding it will make you forget all about how small it is. Skadoosh!

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Popcorn Bucket
Cinemark ain’t afraid of no ghost! The theater chain has no problem putting pesky apparitions like Slimer in their place… which just so happens to be on their new Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire popcorn bucket. Cinemark’s Frozen Empire bucket is a standard collectible popcorn tin decorated with a menacing looking Slimer emblazoned on the outside. This tin is the perfect way to welcome the slimy green ghost back to the big screen for the first time since 1989’s Ghostbusters II.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Slimer Popcorn Bucket
Cinemark’s second Ghostbuster: Frozen Empire popcorn bucket is truly a sight to behold. A Slimer sculpted from translucent green plastic holds a Cinemark popcorn bag in front of its cavernous mouth in what is easily one of the most impressive collectible popcorn buckets of 2024. The detail on the sculpt is amazing, and with a mostly hollow body, it can hold quite a bit of popcorn!
If the Slimer popcorn bucket has any downside, it’s that when the mouth is full, it looks like Slimer is regurgitating popcorn into the bag he’s holding. It’s a small price to pay, however for a popcorn bucket this cool-looking.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Ecto-1 Popcorn Bucket
The third Ghostbusters movie popcorn bucket from Cinemark is a replica of the Ecto-1. The theater chain captured the Ghostbusters’ signature ride in all its glory. All the details are there from the instruments on top of the car to the ladder on the side. In fact, the Ecto-1 collectible popcorn bucket is so accurate that on first glance it looks like there’s no place to put your popcorn, making it a weird choice for a popcorn bucket.
Cinemark’s Ecto-1, however—to borrow a catchphrase from a different 80s franchise—is more than meets the eye. The car’s roof opens up to reveal a secret area for popcorn, or any other snacks you want to put in there. Cinemark’s Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire popcorn bucket is the rare case where there’s something strange and it does look good!

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire 130oz Popcorn Tin
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is an epic smackdown of titanic proportions featuring some of the biggest stars in cinema history… literally. So it’s only fitting that such an epic action extravaganza comes with an equally epic popcorn tin. Thankfully, Cinemark has just such a tin.
The Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire 130-oz popcorn tin isn’t your usual round snack container. Instead, it’s a hexagon with six epic sides devoted to the film’s giant monsters. Godzilla and Kong each have their own side of the bucket, alongside newcomers Shimo and Skar King. The other two sides feature the Godzilla x Kong logo above crystals from the movie’s Hollow Earth setting.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire 150oz Popcorn Tin
If 130oz of popcorn isn’t enough to satisfy your monster appetite, Cinemark is also offering the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire 150oz popcorn tin. This epic rectangular tin features a picture of Godzilla painted on the inside and various Monarch symbols on the outside. In addition, one wall of the tin is made of transparent green plastic, giving the Godzilla illustration inside an eerie green filter akin to a computer scan.
The whole thing is designed to resemble an official creation of the Monarch company, the fictional monster-tracking organization from the film. All in all, it’s an impressive movie-themed popcorn tin like the kind we’ve come to expect from Cinemark.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Popcorn Bucket
The last of Cinemark’s Godzilla x Kong collectible offerings is also its most traditional. The Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Popcorn Bucket is the size and shape of a typical popcorn bucket, but the rest of it is anything but. The inside of the bucket is hot metallic pink in honor of the upgraded form Godzilla adopts partway through the film. Meanwhile, the outside is a beautifully painted illustration of Godzilla roaring over the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire logo.
This collectible movie popcorn bucket is a great way to get your snack while watching giant Kaiju throw each other around.

IF Blue Popcorn Bucket
The friends in IF might be imaginary, but Cinemark’s collectible IF Blue popcorn bucket is as real as it gets. The bucket is designed to look like Blue, the imaginary friend from the film played by Steve Carrell. Despite his name, Blue is a giant purple furball with a smile so warm it’s enough to melt the butter on your popcorn.
Blue’s back stealthily hides a hatch that, when opened, reveals a hollow cavity just the right size for a movie theater snack. Cinemark’s IF Blue Popcorn Bucket is an adorable way to enjoy your popcorn while watching IF or any other movie on the big screen.

If you love the cute characters in IF but you’re looking for a more traditional way to enjoy your popcorn, Cinemark has just what you need.
The IF popcorn bucket is a classic movie popcorn bucket with artwork depicting some of the most popular imaginary friends from the movie. Blue, a big fuzzy purple creature, is front and center, flanked on one side by Blossom, an excitable butterfly, and Lewis the bear on the other. The artwork is slightly raised, giving the characters a slight 3D effect and adding to the overall charm of the popcorn bucket.

The Garfield Movie Garfield Popcorn Tub
Cinemark has created something truly special to promote The Garfield Movie. The Garfield Movie popcorn tub features a plastic sculpture of everyone’s favorite lasagna-loving cat holding an old-timey red and white striped popcorn bag. The popcorn tub is designed to look like Garfield himself is snacking on the salty buttered treat—something the notoriously food-obsessed feline would absolutely do if he had the chance.
What sets this apart from the other collectible popcorn buckets being released to promote The Garfield Movie is that this collectible depicts Garfield in his classic adult form rather than the new cute kitten design introduced in the film. Of course, just because he’s bigger doesn’t mean this Garfield is still not absolutely adorable. Why else do you think John is willing to put up with all his shenanigans?

The Garfield Movie Popcorn Tin
The other Garfield collectible from Cinemark is The Garfield Movie popcorn tin. This more traditional popcorn bucket features the lovable orange tabby as a kitten against a blue background. Along for the ride is Garfield’s longtime frenemy, Odie, depicted here as a wide-eyed puppy. These adorable fur babies are the perfect decoration for a tin of delicious hot buttered popcorn, making it perfect for the fan who wants something simple adorned with pictures of cute animals.
