Inside Out 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to Pixar’s 2015 release, Inside Out, which tells the story of Riley and her emotions. The teaser for the film released earlier in the year gave us some insight into Inside Out 2‘s new emotion characters. With the premiere date on the horizon, Regal Cinemas has released video of something a little more tangible: the Inside Out 2 Anger popcorn bucket.
The Anger popcorn bucket is taking Regal popcorn buckets to the next level, and we aren’t, well, mad about it.
The brightly colored bucket features the big blockhead himself, Anger, with hair aflame and grump-face in full effect. What’s even cooler (or should we say hotter) about this bucket is the flame appears to glow.

Regal Popcorn Buckets
Regal has been responsible for its fair share of the collectible movie popcorn bucket craze. While many of their designs have been on the more practical side, the Inside Out 2 Anger popcorn bucket, along with other buckets like the giant Garfield head popcorn bucket, could be a sign of more creative endeavors from the theater chain.
Regal has a huge opportunity to meet the demands of Disney fans, since this isn’t their first rodeo when it comes to popcorn buckets.
Parkgoers and collectors have been scooping up Disney popcorn buckets for nearly a decade, and willingly waiting in hours-long lines to get their hands on their favorites, like Figment.
Popcorn buckets are a huge winner for a movie theater’s bottom line. The Barbie convertible popcorn buckets from 2023 brought AMC nearly $1 million in revenue on opening weekend.
So, it’s only natural that Regal wants to be competitive in the market against other theaters like AMC and Cinemark, while also appealing to the built-in fanbase of Disney popcorn bucket collectors. The Anger popcorn bucket is definitely one to make fans take notice.
Inside Out 2
Inside Out 2 tells the story of Riley’s journey to becoming a teenager. With the aid of her emotions Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, Riley navigates life as usual until some new emotions arrive.
Anxiety shows up to shake up the crew, and not far behind her are Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment. Life in Riley’s mind gets a little more complicated when Anxiety wants to take over the controls from Joy.
Inside Out 2 is set to release in theaters on June 14, 2024.
